Fed up with feeling lousy

For a week before the holidays I was starting to feel rough.  Temperature, sweats, swollen glands, thirst, dryness in my nose, right arm swollen and in pain.  I had a feeling I was flaring.  I had my monthly blood tests on 23rd December and got the results yesterday.  As expected my CRP was raised.

It has been two weeks now and I am back at work next Tuesday.  I still feel horrible.  I wish I could quench this dry mouth and thirst.  Not to mention the fatigue.  I had almost been on top of it too.

I'm not going to be awake long enough to see in the New Year and for once I have been invited to a couple of parties, neither of which I can make.

Boy do I hate sjogrens.

I hope that 2012 is going to be a better one for us all.  Hugs all round.

I'm sorry you're feeling so rough just now. Could it be a virus, do you think? I know it's more likely to be a flare, but we have to acknowledge other causes too.

Staying at home and resting tonight sounds like a good plan. We don't go out at New Year either. And maybe another couple of days resting will make a huge difference for work on Tuesday.

I hope you feel better soon.

Also sorry to hear you are feeling bad. It is a bummer.  Many in my area are sick, but it's worse when having these disorders, I guess just due to already having so many aches and pains.

I'm not sure about wearing a polar fleece mumps scarf to bed.  I get too hot on a night as it is. It is winter here in the UK and I throw off my covers and sleep with the window open. It doesn't help that I am probably menopausal too.

Hi Amanda,

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well and I sure do hope that you start to feel better soon!  I'm also sending you some super soft and chilled

my friend.

I know what you mean about throwing off the covers and opening the windows, whew, went through that mess too (have to love the hot/cold/hot routine ::)).

Hang in there, okay?

Amanda,

I, too, am sorry to hear your feel so lousy.  I hope you begin to feel better by Tues. or before that!

I'm past menopause and still throw covers off; I'm hot, I'm cold, all day and night.  My temperature gauge is broken.

I'll send a soft, soft hug, too, and wishes for your better health, my dear.
