Hi, I don't know anything about this diagnosis, but wanted to let you know I seen what you ask. I know there will be someone if they do know who will respond.

Could you tell us more about the symptoms of this diagnosis? I know I am curious, because of the different things that come along to visit many of us.

PTC or  idiopathic intracranial hypertension, can be caused by Lupus, among other things, so I would think there's a strong possibility SjS could be a contributing factor.

I had a tentative Dx of PTC many years ago when trying to sort my suddenly worsening migraines. The only symptoms were the worsening headache and Papilledema (swelling of the optic disc where the optic nerve joins the eye, which is visible on retinal examination). Before resorting to a Lumbar Puncture for confirmation of increased pressure, I went on a diet regime and diuretics.....after a weight loss of about 5% of my total weight the symptoms resolved, at least back to my "usual" lifelong migraine. My Neuro told me that approach often helps, and is the least invasive treatment.

Sorry it took me a while to respond, but the problems with my optic nerves were first found over a year ago on a routine eye exam. They were just watching it but then my peripheral vision became blurred and blind spot got bigger. NOBODY knows what the heck is wrong with me. Neuro , rheumy, Neuro- ophthalmologist they all don't know!! Very frustrating!  Ive never been overweight and that's normally first cause of pseudo tumor. I also get headaches and a horrible pressure in my head any I bend down. I just had another spinal tap and my opening pressures were 22 which is more than normal but >25 confirms increased cranial pressure. So when I go to the doctor next I already know they r going to have nothing to tell me :(
