Hi Lori,
I'm looking into these too.....sounds like they are recommended for Sjogrens sufferers.  I'll let you know if I find any without the extra stuff.  I read that we should look for the Sea Buckthorn oil and seeds together because both are good.

I was looking at this too..sounds good for us, the extra moisture in the mucous membranes?

New chapter makes one...but I think this is the one with the rosemary in it. I def want to try it.

This is the one I'm going to buy.  It has everything in it and it's the one Dr. Oz recommended.

I saw this show on Dr. Oz.  Can you all report back and let us know if you feel it helps.  It sounded like it could help with constipation.

Thanks,

I wonder if we can take too many oils (omega's 3,6,7,9 etc)???

Oh yes, menopause can cause extreme dryness everywhere, just like SS..the mucous membranes.
Im going nuts..between SS/Lupus and menopause, Im a dried out prune..not even funny...seems this might
work in the mucous membranes so i guess it works a try?

Hi there,
I started taking the sea bucktorn liquid about a week and a half ago. It is by Genisis, 100 percent sea buckthorn, oil, juice and pulp. The one from New Chapter has palm oil in it and I am allergic to coconut so I steer clear of ny palm stuff.

Anyway, take one ounce in the AM  and one ounce in the  afternoon, probably equals 400 mg total ofthe omega 7. Anyway I have noticed in just this short time, it has helpled with my very small patch of rosacea on my forehead and my skin overall is feeling smoother. Also helps a bit with constipation too.

I am looking to find the Sibu brand of capsules because the liquid tastes pretty bad. Kind of like molassas that has turned sour :-( yuk.

Hi Guys,
I just got mine in the mail yesterday so....I took my first capsule (on an empty stomach) this morning.  Hope it sets well as I have to go to work.  I'm going to go ahead and take my omega 3 cap with food as usual but I think I'll substitute this sea buckthorn for my usual bio tears gel cap 2x daily and see if I notice anything different.  Right now I have been doing well on those Centrum Omega 3 tiny gel caps....I've been on them for a month and with the bio tears I felt that on most days I had more saliva and tears and most of all....my feet have been in way less pain.  I think these fish oils really thin our blood so it's probably the effect of taking ibuprofen for the joints!  Over the weekend I had to compose a grant for my Telemedicine Program and of course I was nervous with eyes plastered to the computer.  I did very well on Saturday (moisture-wise), got rather dry on Sunday and then did fair on Monday but got the grant and the budget done!!!!!
I don't think I could have done all that work without super dryness if I wasn't taking these Omegas and the bio tears gelcaps!!  I was cheating with food too.....all comfort foods to get my brain working and those are the worst for inflammation but I made it through and I should be submitting it on Thursday!!
I'll keep you all posted on the sea buckthorn results.  I may break one of the caps open to use it on my facial lines ;)
