Thanksgiving over - guests gone home and now I'm in a major flare.  To top it off, it's raining and a cold front is moving in.  Been up since 3 a .m. - hurting too much to sleep.  I always overdo when the kids come home but I have got to stop it.  You cook for two days before they come, they come - eat and go off either to friends and/or shopping - come back - shower and leave out again.  I am totally exhausted and worn down.  And on Thursday, hubby is having his lower teeth extracted in preparation for dentures.  I have got to get to feeling better so I can be there for him.  He is always there for me.  Prayers PLEASE!!!

P.S.  Even though our son and his wife were out with their motorcycle club most of the time here, I did get to spend some quality time with my teenage grandsons while their parents were out partying.  The boys loved their blankets I made for them.  That made my heart happy.

And FINALLY all the stitches have come out of my lip biopsy site.  Feels so much better.

Hi Jorja,
I hope your husbands surgery goes well. Kind of scary having teeth pulled. I glad your lip is feeling better, and you had some quality time with your grandkids. It sounds like you should take some time to recouperate, with some hot tea and blanket and give yourself permission to rest.

Jellyb,

I had just sat down in my reclinder surrounded by pillows with a warm rice sock on both hips and one across my neck, heat pad to my back, blanket loosely around my feet, with a cup of hot tea when I logged in and read your post.  Too funny that you were advising me to do the same.  I plan to do nothing but veg today with hopes of feeling better tomorrow.  Thanks for the advise and well wishes.

I understand what you are saying. I did the same thing. Cooked for two days before T-giving ( and I had some help), then went into a flare. It is so frustrating. I am doing less than what I used to do and I still get worn out!

I understand that  your husband needs your support, but you have to re-group before you can help him or anybody else. Perhaps someone else could go with him or maybe the procedure could be postponed for a few days.
