Thanks Bucky.  Seems like cleaning takes a huge hit with us, doesn't it.  And keeping up with what I already have in my cabinets and out in the pantry is non-existent.  There's always multiples of practically everything.

Irish, vacuuming hurts.  No matter how easy I take it, it always hurts.  Vacuuming gets put off so often that sometimes I feel like I'm livin' in a barn.  I have to add that I don't let it get so bad that I could grow potatoes but I should do it more often.

I'm so grateful to have an understanding hubs.  He really does put up with a lot with little to no complaining.

Lady Belle, welcome and just jump right on in.  You reminded me of my dreaded task at hand:  the dining room table turned mail room.  ACK!!!  Just do it, Nara, just get up and do it!!

ladybelle

I got the declutter paper idea from your Nara so let's see if we can get a chunk of it done this week!  I know we can do it :)

Wow, Nara.  We could get a real competition going.  ;)  You've spurred me on to find my desk tomorrow; that's my plan anyway.  I'm not sure how I do it.  It will look great, and 3 days later it's covered again. (sigh...)

Ladybelle,

Welcome to the forum!  ;) As you see, we try to have some fun as well as discussing anything and everything.  Hope you'll find some great info. here.  There are lots of friendly, helpful people, too.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

I am happy to report that FINALLY, eight weeks after my sale - that I have all my sale stuff put away and I can again park in the garage!!   ;D  I just kept putting it off - but, today we got 'er done!  Yay!!

I also took some more fall decorations to the basement and brought up some more holiday decorations.  I'm getting there!   :)

If you've read in another thread, I bought two 6-1/2' tall bookcases over the weekend.  Right now, they are sitting in the living room.  I have to make room for them where they are going and will work on that this week.

On the way into work tomorrow, I will drop off a bunch of newspapers and cardboard at the recycling bins in town.

Welcome ladybelle - glad you are joining in on our little adventure.  The more, the merrier.   ;D

I'll add "Yay, Bucky!" too.   8)

Well, Nara, half the desk and today I'll make it a plan to finish. Sometimes it's crazy to me how I can feel so busy without working at a job outside my home anymore.
I've got dishes and laundry, two quilts to finish for gifts, a few presents to buy, etc....and my body and mind are in slllooooww motion.

Oh well...nature of the beast, right? A little at a time like the tortoise.  :) ;) I'll get there, but it's certainly no race!

I know I am late getting in on this, but count me in. I have been slowing working on my house. It has been in such a mess, unorganized, and needed cleaning.

I have made progress over the past months, but need to continue  throughout 2012 to finally get it in order. I have been embarrassed to have company due to this. I love company. That is my ultimate goal.

I have been doing the small things. I can't do anything very long like I use to. It all has to be small increments at a time. One side of my living room is looking like a living room again.

The other side my husband has adopted with his computer and office type things. I just need him to work on its mess.  ::) He has been working on it though. He also has to do things in small bits. He is on oxygen so it is hard.

We are in one bedroom, but the other one is full of everything. I need to slowly start getting rid of things in there, and having it back like it once was.

Thank you for this , because I really need this.

I went back and caught up reading all of your posts. All of you are doing great. Welcome to the new folks. Today so far I sorted out some clothes in the laundry, and swept the floor in the hall to it. My kitchen dishes are done. Counter clean.

My goal today is to put up some more things that are sitting in a pile like some gigantic thing. I am just trying to figure out where to put the stuff.

The other day I bought a gallon of paint to paint my stairs on the front porch. I can't start right now, because it is windy outside, and looks like rain anytime. I will have to wait till a good sunny day. My whole porch needs it, but too late now until spring.

We also have 4 dogs and 1 inside big white cat. The dogs stay out a lot, but sometimes still come in, and one is blind so we have him in a lot. This is another whole issue, but we love them so.  :-\

Oh I know.  My energy gave out this morning.  About an hour after I got to work.  I have about a third of my dining room table left to do.   I came home this afternoon and took one look at it and just sighed and went to my chair and slept.  No race, no contest, just a little positive push.  More for my own benefit than anything else.   :)
