Voltaren

Does anyone take voltaren?  The list of side effects is scarey.  If you do take this do you have any side effects?

Hi there. I have tried voltaren and the pills upset my tummy but that's all. I actually prefer the gel, I rub it on my neck and back.

I really liked Voltaren (Voltarol in the UK) I had to stop taking it because of unexplained bruising. Told not to take NSAIDs any more. I found it was effective though. I'd certainly try it.

I tried the gel, but it made me so nauseous I had to quit--wasn't worth it to me.

I took this a few years ago.. and I had a reaction..

But there are list of interactions that concerned me with the amount of meds we could also take on any given day as well as "illness" side effects we all can have..

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:
?cidofovir
?ketorolac
?methotrexate
This medicine may also interact with the following medications:
?alcohol
?aspirin and aspirin-like medicines?cyclosporine
?diuretics
?lithium
?medicines for blood pressure
?medicines for osteoporosis
?medicines that affect platelets
?medicines that treat or prevent blood clots like warfarin
?NSAIDs, medicines for pain and inflammation, like ibuprofen or naproxen
?pemetrexed
?steroid medicines like prednisone or cortisone

I tried the gel with great results on the small joints. After some time it stopped working. I didn't realize that the ringing in my ears were caused by the gel.

Tried it some years back and it made me nauseous and often dizzy....it really didn't help much at all (two extra strength Tylenol helped more without the side effects).

Wow - for all our similarities our bodies react so differently!!! That's why we have to be so careful.

I get very nervous before starting any new med, as I have had a few very frightening reactions. (cymbalta)

Good luck, I hope this does the trick. Personally, I am happy just to "take the edge off" as I never get full relief anyway.
