GRRRR ITCHY!!!!

Anyone get the itchies?

Started last week, my skin felt wind/sunburned without a mark on it. I'm in Florida folks and it hasn't dropped below 60 so I'm pretty sure dry skin season isn't here yet.

So here I am debating... is it allergies, dry skin, or nerve prickles? Its all over an my hair is all standing up. Annoying as heck.

i have the same problem  i have dry skin already but I'm in Ohio too so it's about that time of year for me.  i was wondering the same thing. It's been jumping all around in temperature's here  upper 30- 70;s  so i dono   i have been using lotions but it don't seem to be helping much.

I get a burning feeling on my fingers down to the knuckles so at first I thought it was the arthritis but it doesn't seem to be in the joints, moreso on top of my skin.  also, creams soothe it and water too, so I'm assuming it's the SJS affecting my skin.  It hurts!

My skin is always itchy....feels like little ants crawling all over....annoying! I have more kinds of lotions in this house than a darn drug store. I have found out though if it has a perfume smell to it I can't wear it....makes me itch more! (And I was a Bath/Body junky) Now everything I buy has no perfumes, colors etc....back to the plain old Ivory soap!

For me, that always means candida/yeast.

I have the itchy skin, too, and also live in the deep south - even though our temperatures aren't dropping yet, the humidity is and that is leading to drier skin for me. I use CeraVe moisturizing cream which is a WONDERFUL product, but I may need to start using it twice daily now because my skin is starting to flake off again

Hi all,

Count me in the Itchy Club!  I have numerous allergies, even year-round, and I rarely have an itch-free day, so I know how you feel.  I can relate to the ants-crawling-on-me feel and despite my prescription and OTC lotions and creams, I continue to itch.  I even get the deep-down burning/itch sensation too! 

If anyone has found any lotions or creams that are especially helpful with the itches, please share!

If it's not the dry flaky itchy skin or the stuff that makes hives pop up all over like I used to get, it could be a mild form of neuropathy and might be worth asking your doctor or neuro about. Just a suggestion, not meant to scare.  Mild neuropathy is very common with SJS and doesn't mean you'll get the major kind.

You might think about whether you've been eating more sugar/white starch lately.  That would increase the yeast side of the flora (as jazzlover suggested).  Plaquenil can cause itching sporatically.  And of course be sure to get your liver enzymes checked on a regular schedule while you're on meds.

Hope in a Jar has really helped the dry skin on my face big time. It's a little expensive for a small jar but it goes a long way....Lubiderm is the choice for the rest of my skin!

A friend of mine just told me about Artisana Raw Coconut Butter.  She eats 3 tbs a day; lost 4 lbs in a week; her hands are the softest they've ever been and has not had one hang nail since starting.  I ordered a jar of it and Cacao Coconut Butter.  I'm willing to try anything once.  A d this stuff sounds delish!!
