Amazing Race 19

I can't wait....the Amazing Race starts next Sunday (the 25th)!

Anyone here planning on watching it? I really enjoy the show as you get to travel around the world with them and see the people and customs from all of the countries that they visit!

That is probably the only "reality" show I do like to watch.
It is interesting to me seeing all the different countries, their people and customs. But I think the people in the other countries who run across the contestants - must think americans are crazy!

I'm not sure if I will be able to watch it or not - our TV is in another room from where the computer is and being a Sunday night chat host, I think it might end up being on the same time as our chat is.    

IF I was a contestant on this show, I for sure would get into shape before the show began.  You know you will be running A LOT!! 

I've been in a road rally before where you compete against other people with mystery clues driving all over the place.  I can only imagine how it is driving in a foreign country with a strange vehicle, not knowing where in the heck you're going, etc., and trying not to be the last one to reach the check-in point.  Whew . . makes me tired just thinking about it!!  LOL

You wonder how far they would get at the airports, etc. if they didn't have a camera man/women following them taping them.  They have got to get extra perks over the "every day" person who would try running up to the desk to get on a specific flight, etc.

I would love to see "behind the scenes" on a lot of these reality shows.  What really goes on that we don't see on TV?

This is my favorite of all the "reality" shows!!   (actually, the only one I like)

Like you, Lynn, I love seeing all the different cultures and people from all over the world.  Some of the landscaping shots are so beautiful. 

So, yes, I am definitely planning on watching; Wouldn't miss it!

You mentioned Road Rally?  My old boss used to be in one where they had the old antique cars. You couldn't have anything modern in it and they all went by clues and like 2.3 miles past the red barn, etc.  Him and his wife use to have a great time doing it.

I wouldn't be a contestant on the Amazing Race. Heck on Survivor I wouldn't last a day!

I didn't get to see the show tonight - the ballgames or something must have run over as 60 Minutes was still on when I tuned in at 7 p.m..  I'll have to catch it on-line tomorrow.

 I'm rooting for Bill and Cathi - guess because they work so hard together so well and are closer to my age.  Think they are both about 62, so they may be the oldest couple to come this far! 

I also really like the two young guys, the snowboarders. Don't remember their names right now, but they seem like very cool people. Cindi are Eric are good, too.  I guess I have 3 favorites!

I like the grandparents and the snowboarders the best!

Also wouldn't mind it if the couple from Chicago go a little further just becasue they are "locals". I know a lot of people don't like her becasue they think she is bossy...but I think she is ok!

Wow, they really have some "out there" tasks to do this season!  I would be soooo dizzy from those tea cups.  It would give me a pounding headache and make me very nauseous - I would have to lay down for a bit.

Wearing those itzy, bitzy, teeny, weeny, suits for the body building??!!  No, no, no . . . that ain't gonna happen!!   

Ernie and Cindy really lucked out that the conductor didn't check for tickets on the second leg of the train trip! 

Hmmmm, wonder who will be eliminated next?  I hope Bill and Cathi are still in it.

If I was in the race I would have had to drop out at the bathing suit/body building part. Like you said Bucky...that ain't gonna happen and especially on national tv!! Lol!

Awwww, Bill and Cathi were eliminated.    

I hope that Tommy & Andy win.  If not them, than Amani & Marcus.

Tommy & Andy have come in first in many of the legs of this race.  They've got a lot of nice prizes . . including a new, custom designed Mustang each!!

I was sorry to see Cathi and Bill go...but they did great! 

I really hope Tommy and Andy win, too.  Then I'm rooting next for either Amani and Marcus, or Cindy and Eric.  That'll be interesting if it comes down to those 3 teams;  I won't know who to root for!

I hated to see Cathi and and Bill go too! They seem to be so in love with each other after so many years together and enjoy life each day!
