Thanks so much for the update! Wonderful news! Continued thoughts and prayers going his way...

Great news!!!  positive thoughts headed his way.

Katybarstool

Thank you for all your kind messages.

My sister and her husband are back home now and trying to arrange to make their house accessible for Ben's wheelchair when he comes home for Christmas. They both work at the same place and their co-workers have collected a significant amount to help them with the work that needs doing. Just shows how many kind, caring people thre are when you need them.

I heard that Ben is being taken to a ball game tomorrow with some of his colleagues at the rehab. He will have a whale of a time. I'm so pleased that he can now be a young man, and enjoy a social life, rather than just a patient.

God bless.

Dear Kathy, I have continued to quietly follow Ben's progress with much interest and compassion.  I was so very glad to hear of the kindness of the people who work with his parents in helping to raise money to make some much needed changes in their home.  They must be truly special people to have garnered so much support of those around them and Ben's bravery is also reflected in their raising of him.

Still keeping Ben in my prayers daily.

Sending gentle hugs,
Daisy

Hi Kathy - just catching up.. I'm so pleased that Ben has made such fantastic progress.   It must have been the hardest few months ever for your family and the prospect of getting Ben home will be wonderful.  Thinking of you all and hoping that Ben can get home for Christmas.   Much love to you all XX Ailsa

Ben returned to the hospital on Tuesday, to have the pelvic frame removed. According to my sister, all went well, and he is going to return home in the next day or two, to rest and recover over the holiday period.

I can't believe how far this wonderful young man has come - he's amazing.

I've meant to post again before now, but I've been following along.

Yes, Ben is making amazing progress! I'm sure he's glad to have that pelvic frame off. And isn't that wonderful that so many people have come together to help make the house wheelchair accessible?  Sometimes the kindness in others can pleasantly surprise us.

So great that he's able to come home for the holidays.  I'll continue to keep him and your family in my thoughts and prayers.  May he continue to gain strength each day.

Ben and Stacey have announced their engagement today!!!! I know nothing more, but am hoping to see them both tomorrow.

This is a very brave move for them both, and I'm sure you will join me in congratulating them.

Woohoo . . . congratulations to Ben and Stacey!!  If they start out their marriage having already tasted "for better or for worse, in sickness or in health" . . . . may they both weather whatever the future holds for them both.

Please pass along our congratulations to them both!   :D
