Thank you. We had a small pot luck BBQ on Saturday. A friend I know has the same birthdays so we invited only about 24 people. I was concerned that there may be over 40. The cold weather kept the numbers down so I was thankful. The four children that came spent 3 hours running around the back yard playing. The adults visited from about 11 am until about 7pm. Some people watch two children's shows and one adult show. After supper, we started a fire and had smores. I stayed out of the sun by staying in the shade of our variegated Maple. We had tables and chairs out side for 16.

The last guests left by 9:30. Jan was in bed by 8:30.

Today, Sunday, after church. we cooked and served brunch at Ronald McDonald house for about 75 people. I came home and slept for 2 hours. Left over for supper! yum!

Forgot menu: Steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, Brats, vegie burgers from the grill. Deviled eggs, Sauteed mushrooms with garlic and onions, baked Mushroom tops with butter and garlic, Melons, vegie tray, and of course a variety of chips.

Joe, it sounds as if you had a busy and great weekend!  Good for you.  ;D  About 25 people is quite a crowd to me, but sounds like such fun everyone had.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Meld, I am sorry there are no leftovers. If there were, I do not think they would survive the trip.

My birthday is actually 9/26 as well, my husband surprised me with about 40 of our friends on Saturday! I had a wonderful time  8).
