really?

I went to the hospital today for sinus and salivary gland surgery,, it took a little over two hours,, and the doctor told my wife that one side of the sinuses was what he considered to be decent compared to recent surgerys,, teh left side was completely filled with thick stuff and he removed a ton of polyps,, and for the glands,, he went in both partoid glands and cleaned them if that possible,, but felt they were not to bad,, but definately not good,, I dontknow if he took biopsys but he told my wife he put some stuff up in there,,

I feel twice while there,, but it raised no red flags,, twice I choked on the OR table according to the nurse,, they could not get my blood pressure down,, even after three shots,, so once they got it to about 158 over 98,, they gave up,, and told me I cojuld leave now,, ????,, now both glands are swollen,, coughing out the junk again,, and I am so sick, my legs wont work,, they just drag,,

My guts were acting up this morning,, now thre a mess, I feel so hot,, but I am not running a temp, teh back of my throat is a bloody mess,, blood lesions everywhere,, did they not see this,, I know they used a breathing tube,, but whwat happened that I have blood lesions all over my throat,, lord knows what its like down further,, left side of my face is numb,, when I bend over water just runs out of my right sinus, I have had this happen before,, and I get the headaches and numbness,, I guess like I said on topic anxiety,, when I cork off,, they will finnaly find out what did me in,, on a better note, the PA said man you are skinny,, you canhave a few of my extra pounds,, I almost told him to go F off, this was right after he asked,, are you trying to lose weight,, ya you moron,, i want to look like a gas chamber survivor,,

I dont know why I even bother,, nothng ever gets fixed,, now th left eye is blacking out,, i move to fast and the shadows come over it,,my son said yesterday,, dad,, if somethinghappens to you,, he hadent seen me in a few weeks and was appaled how bad I have gotten, he said he will have to move back home becasue mom will be livingonteh street,, its all a mess, a real darn mess

I want to say that I'm glad you had surgery but it doesn't seem appropriate considering how you were treated...or not!!!

I'm sorry this is so horrible or you right now & you can't seem to get the help you need.

You do need to put some weight on by the sounds of it. I was like that last year, gastro. almost put me on tubefed but I promised to eat even though I couldn't.

My family made me protein shakes & since My stomach couldn't handle dairy we did rice protein. They put peanut butter, olive oil, ground flax seed, banana & God knows what else to get some calories & good fats in me.

Maybe you could try something like that? It did help give me enough strength to start walking 10-20 feet, which I wasn't able to do before.

Good Luck & I'm still praying for you everyday.
Wish I could drive you my hospital here by me, yours sounds dreadful  >:(

Hmmmm, really!

Aside from the major calamities, I'm hoping that the outcome of the surgery gives you some relief!

We will stay tuned.

Keep us posted.

I know this sounds simple for me to say, but keep the faith!  Worried about you all day.  The infection may be what is dragging you down.  Perhaps in a few days there will be some improvement.

When the PA said you were so thin, that's when the "humor" comes in.  You should have told him "he doesn't look stupid, but looks are deceiving".  I'm trying to keep that one in mind for some of this mouthy people.  Maybe you should have told him you are on Jenny Craig and work out with the girls at Curves.  Seriously you could have told him to mention it to the right people since there was nothing you could do about it.

Keep us posted and really take it easy.  Let your body heal.

Really,
Give it a few days and hopefully you'll notice some improvement from the infection.  Did they follow-up with more antibiotics?

BTW, didn't they tell you not to bend over after sinus surgery for a few days?  I had it done twice and both times this was the main post-op instruction...not to bend over.  It creates pressure and can cause problems, not to mention more pain.

Hoping you have a speedy recovery.

I hope you're feeling better soon. Sounds like an unpleasant experience.
