Hi all,

I've recently discovered the wonderful world of paper mache!  I made one monster and I have a pix of an unfinished pumpkin for Halloween.  I'm currently working on 2 more monsters, 2 or 3 more pumpkins and a skull  ;D

I remember having an art class in high school on that. Unfortunately back then the "stuff" looked just like what I had for breakfast  (oatmeal or cream of wheat). LOL  :D

The mache or the project?   :D :D :D

The paper mache stuff still looks like white barf.   :D I make my own along with the clay.  I'll post another link when I get them painted and finished.

Just as long as my project doesn't look like cream of wheat!   ;D

Paper Mache recipe

6 cups white flour
1 cup starch
1 cup white glue

my starch:
1/2 cup corn starch mixed with 1/2 cup of COLD water.
Boil 2 cups of water and add cold mixture and like magic starch appears!  I refrigerate what I don't use.

Clay (for outside the mache)
6 cups mache paste
1 cup joint compound
paper cellulose insulation (home depot)
