UGH. My eyes have been bloodshot for the last 3 days. The kids in class are all asking me what is wrong, etc. (What's worse is one child has "demon issues", so I dare not look him in the eye!)

I did purchase some Refresh, but maybe I should get Refresh Plus?? I haven't looked up the difference...only know the price is twice the cost!

This is my first attempt at trying eye drops...used Visine for yrs before I knew my diagnosis, and it burns like Hades! Won't do that again.  :-\

Hi Cat  :)

Just make sure that the drops you use are preservative free.  :)

Take care - Scottie  :)

Never do tomorrow what you can put off till the day after tomorrow!

Sounds like you need a prescription for salagen or evoxac. Bring it up with your rhuemy and your eye doctor.
I miss the good old days. Things were more like they used to be back then.

I have the Salagen (Pilocarpine), but purchased it before researching. The package (big, black, and bold) says, DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE ASTHMA. Why wouldn't he know this?? It's in my chart. Ridiculous waste of money.

I have found that the more expensive drops are better, unfortunately. Those will glycerin or mineral oil in them stay in longer for me.

You also need to make sure you don't have pink eye. Are your eyes just badly bloodshot, or are they really red all over and painful? Another sign is that your lashes might be glued together after sleeping. If that is the case, you need to get antibiotic eye drops from your doctor. The condition is very contagious, so watch what you touch. We are more prone to this and to sores in the mouth (oral thrush) because normal yeast and bacteria can grow unchecked in someone with a compromised immune system.
