So wonderful to see Tease and Annie back home!!!  Annie is just romping around her stall, kicking up her heels.  She is glad to be home!!!  What a good way to end my day!  It has been a rather stressful day, but looking at Annie and Tease is helping me like you can never know!  Welcome home girls!

Yeah we are home!! Very uneventful trip (thank goodness)

I so wish I had got pictures as everyone was kissing Annie goodbye at OSU but I was holding Tease so couldnt get the pic.

I was so teary eyed in the stall. Such a miracle to have them back home

Annie has really grown! She gained 3 kgs!

Annies resp rate is still a little too high but not nearly as high as yesterday etc. Part of the issue they think was the neck wrap holding the catheter in. Apparently Annie thought that meant that she had to breath harder. Yep shes a little drama queen. Her rate averaged 60 ish today which is high but not horrible like when she was 110 on Tuesday.
Her vet and all the techs gathered to tell her goodbye and kiss her nose. I so wish I had got a picture but I was holding Tease. Everyone was a little teary. We thanked them for helping our Annie and told them we hope to not see them again LOL.
She is on oral antibiotic 2x day and we will take her temp at least once per day. She will get short outings on grass. Dr Muese will be checking on her here at the farm.
The OSU vet report commented on what a good patient Annie was and they expect a full recovery. They even had nice things to say about Tease.
Tease seems much more relaxed about us handling Annie but she was a little unnerved by the trailer ride home.

Sorry about the cam issues. I think its because there is a ton of traffic and because I had to hook it to my laptap. Sure I hope I get the desktop fixed soon.

I am going to stop the cam for a few mins and try to put the router into the laptop and see if that helps the cam.

All her blood test numbers are back to normal. I finally got to see the reports and wow they were pretty bad when we admitted her.

Resp rate is down but still high (60-80 today down from 110) They think some of it was the neck wrap holding the catheter in.

Still has a small pnemonia so will be on antibiotics 2x daily for another 7 days. We are to check her temp 1 to 2 times per day.

Our little princess, Annie, was running a 104 fever last night.  :( Last night, Kay said that Dr. Muese will be by this morning.  I hope they can get her fever down and the medicine will kick in so Annie can get rid of her pneumonia.  Kay had placed a call to OSU - but they hadn't returned her call.

Annie keeps following Tease around the stall.

Hang in there girls - feel better little Annie.

We'll all keep the prayers going for Annie, Tease and the Baxters!

To clarify what I wrote in the last post  :):

I'd like this thread open to any talk our Sjoggies Marestare family wishes to do.  As the person who began this thread, I can tell you that there is nothing that you would post that I would consider 'crosstalk' or 'hijacking' the thread. 

For instance, if you are having a stressful day, it's OK by me mention that and to go further to talk about the specifics.  I'd like us to feel free to share of our lives here when anyone wishes... both the good or not so great. 

Even what may seem mundane to someone else we know can be signifcant for us.  I was able to go out yesterday with my best girlfriend, to several places, then have a dentist appointment for fillings (first dental work I've been able to afford in five+ years) and Im living to tell the tale today!  Now...for someone who has had many periods of 6 to 8 weeks without (very literally) stepping outside my door, that's so great!  I may be in a bad flare tomorrow but today I'm here functioning.  ;)

Are you lurking here?  Welcome all lurkers, go ahead with a post!  Try it. you'll like it!  :)

first she said bring her back and I reminded her that when we left that was not an option.

Then she said stay on oral antibiotics no shots. Dr muese wants shots.

Im at my wits end. Shes going to call dr muese. I will wait for hm to come today and talk in person about what to do

I'm just really frustrated. She said the blood culture showed no bacteria so the right antibiotic is the oral one because it is specifically for lung disease.

She also said Annie had no fever meds after Sunday but that isnt what the report says.

She also said its too early to redo the xray

She also says maybe annie just cannot regulate her own temp well yet because shes a mini. Ughhh.

I think OSU is a wonderful place but I should have chatted with the head vet when both dr muese and I didnt want her coming home so soon. I just should have stood my ground and insisted she stay at least one more day.

Oh, my gosh!  Did anyone catch that!?  Oh, that's too cute! Tease was laying down, Annie was standing on her tail and pawing it repeatedly...Tease was barely looking back occasionally!  

Now look at Tease's tail!!! It puts a whole new meaning on 'teasing'!!!
