This is so precious!!!!

Note from Kay:

...I usually post this at the beginning of marestare. I really messed up this year. Gosh I drew this years ago! I should redo it. I could make it better lol. I actually did this I think before we got a cam to watch on and I used to go sit in the barn in my jammies watching mares. Then I got smart and got a cam

My friend Dreamer on QB has given me the OK to share some of her poems...thank you Dreamer!

-----------------

HELLO ALL
I'M THE LONELY LITTLE STALL.
I'M MISSIN' MY TWO GIRLS
THO I KNOW THEY'LL BE HOME SOON.
LITTLE ANNIE'S OUR SWEETIE PIE
SHE HUNG OUR HEARTS ON THE MOON.

----

IF YOU NEED A "HERO" TO COME YOUR WAY
JUST LOOK TO "RUSTY" TO SAVE THE DAY.
HIS LOVING JOURNEY TO SAVE THE PRECIOUS LIFE
OF OUR LITTLE ANNIE THAT HAD BEEN BORN IN STRIFE.
A JOURNEY BLESSED BY MANY ACROSS THE LAND
OUR "HERO" KEPT A BAD SITUATION WELL IN HAND.

-----

ANGELS ABOUND FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE
TO SURROUND "OUR LITTLE ANNIE" IN PRECIOUS LOVE.
HEELS A KICKIN' AND RACIN' AROUND
HER LOVE FOR LIFE HAS NO BOUNDS.
THIS TINY LITTLE FILLY THAT HAD SUCH A ROUGH START
HAS LATCHED ON TIGHTLY TO EACH OF OUR HEARTS.

From Kay:

Im working on an "Annie" page for my website while I wait

http://www.baxterspaintedpasture.com/annie.html

And:

It was the sweetest thing when we got home from OSU the doorbell rang and it was a florist and she said "I have flowers for Tease & Annie" I was flabbergasted. No name on the card so I have no idea who sent it. Wish I could thank them. It has the prettiest pink roses and a pink bow.

So much has happened that I havent been able to post.

I am hoping to write a book when this is all over with all the things that happened (funny and sad) that I never had time to post.

Just in from Kay!

Vet just called. Annie pnemonia is still in her lung. They are trying a different antibiotic to get it. Good news is her filbren (sp) rate was previously way too high and is now normal. Resp rate is still high but will hopefully come down with the new meds. She said Annie is zooming all over the stall and has no idea shes sick. Tease is doing well but sick of the stall. She suspects this new med will kick in and Annie will come home Wed morning barring any fever or relapse. Thankfully they are going to give us oral antibiotics so that she doesnt get sore again from all the shots. What a relief. They will have her new bloodwork back in the morning and I think she said that will show if this is working.

Hoping this new med will be the one to take care of Annie's pneumonia and our little princess can go home!  Maybe Kay needs to get Annie some ruby red hoof shoes so Annie can click them together while neying (sp?), "there's no stall like home, there's no stall like home"!   ;D

I've seen some of Dreamers other poems on QB - she's very good.   :D

Annie can become one of us Sjoggies with the "you don't look sick" labels.   ;)

That is such good news about Annie.  I can't wait to see her and Tease again on cam at Baxters farm!  I have become so addicted Mary Ann, I now am reading the QB you gave the link for updates.  I am just lurking there, but everyone seems so nice and I like how everyone is so into not only Annie and Tease, but Marestare too!  This has quickly become a favorite passtime for me!  My grandparents raised Shetland ponies when I was growing up and we used to go there over spring break and then again in the summer to help with the ponies and foals.  So many good memories.  Kay's herd reminds me of them so much.  Thanks for introducing us to Kay and to Marestare!

I just love Kay's drawing. She should print them and sell copies.
I have been following Annie & Tease since Annie was born and praying for both of them.

We eagerly awaited this continuing good news from Kay!

less than an hour ago...

No word from OSU yet but dr muese called. Hes afraid they are letting her out too soon. Hes going to call up there. He said unless her resp rate is down she should stay there. He also said to make her a stall in the garage. Once they have pnemonia they do not want them around any dirt or dust and kept in a cool area

-------------I had to go pick the truck up and I drove it around a bit to be sure its good. Russ will probably drive it again when he gets home. I cannot have that truck break down while we bring them home. But Dr Muese sure sounds like he doesnt want her coming home yet.

If I dont get this desktop computer fixed there will be no cam anywhere! Im really hoping Jason can walk me thru fixing it on the phone. I have the blue death screen right now. Not good!

-----------

LOL Now OSU just called. She said her rate is still high off and on but she wonders if that is Annies "normal" Hmmm. They took her catheter out and started oral antibiotics last night and she has done fine. She said she can be picked up after lunch time tomorrow and does not need to be in the garage. Im so confused. She did say she was going to call Dr Muese and discuss all of this with him especially when I told her he was not thrilled with Annie leaving with a high resp rate.
