Another special watch request on Marestare:

Shana @ Sonrisa Had surgery and needs eyes tonight

? on: Yesterday at 07:17:31 pm [my CT, local barn time 6:17 MT]?

Quote

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shana has been dripping but to early. Then had other problems. Owner Mary Ellen posted on her thread as follows:
"I hate to do this without going more in depth, but I really need eyes on shana tonight!! You all were a HuGe help the other day as shana had twisted her uterus. She's had surgery and is still pregnant, but is at a huge risk to abort with everthing she has been through. Please call if anything looks wrong. I'm still in Kentucky until Sunday and I don't have easy access to the message board."
Please if you have room add Shana to your cyber stable for special watch. Remember to post only updates as to what you see on this thread. Thank you for helping!

Regarding special watches:  If you see something you think is important happening, do call the owner.

If you have an observation that you think an owner might appreciate seeing on the Marestare thread, let me know as I'm able to post there.

You can find special watch request and threads here...they often change daily or more frequnelty even...it's strictly an as needed thing.  "This board was created for short term watching (needing sleep - won't be home, etc) and high risk situations."

From Kay this morning [nothing on Annie yet though]...

I slept so good last night! First deep sleep I have had.

Im not very good with my smart phone yet so I only know how to take pics and send them to Facebook. Facebook automatically uploads them and resizes them.

---------------

The ladies ate so much at their barn party last night that I am going to feed a little later than normal LOL. That was so dang funny. Not sure if any of you saw them on cam but as usual Patches led the way. We apparently forgot to lock the barn when we rushed to OSU

The vet thinks its shot soreness and not joint ill. She said they are checking each joint and watching her very close.

Shoot I thought I would have the morning call by now. Im so impatient. Im going to check on the herd.

That is such good news to hear, that her joint might not be septic!  Prayers do work!  Thanks for all the updates Mary Ann!

From Kay:

I was out getting feed and shavings and the vet finally called. She has had a bit of a setback today. Her respirations are high again and a tiny fever. But she is playing and nursing and bright. They are wondering if the pnemonia isnt a little worse than the sonogram showed. They want to give her until tomorrow to see if it clears before they xray her chest.

It does sound like shes not coming home Mon. Coming home Mon was only if things went perfectly.

Like Sally warned me these sick foals are a roller coaster.

-------

Ever since she got to OSU I have so strongly felt that she was going to make it so I am going to stay optimistic. She is such a little fighter and I pray this is just a minor blip on the screen.

----------------

...I think...they are waiting to xray to give those transfusions time to work. They talked about xraying on Monday which is why I am kinda assuming she wont come home Monday.

Looking good!  We'll certainly keep many many prayers going though that the little one Annie Joy can stop riding that scary rollercoaster...
