hi all

Still not feeling good so mostly trying to write a couple articles and sleep. Such bad timing to be sick. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I feel so bad for Russ having to do everything

I have officially decided I know nothing about mares foaling. Swishing tail? No. Laying Down? No. Urinating all the time? No.

I have no clue.  I'll know it's happening when I see it coming out.

Ha-ha! I think a lot of OWNERS feel that way about this amk922!

Thanks for posting the link....I got to see a sweet little donkey be born...well she was just off camera, but the owners put her up by momma's head right away.  So sweet.   :)

Aw, she's so cute.  Up all the way now, nuzzle ma mere front and back!

This little filly donkey has been trying to stand since the minute she was born.  She'll be a hoot to watch.  :D

A quilting friend writes:

When I lived at my other house, my Mennonite neighbors had a couple donkeys. They were descended from Jesus's donkey, had the cross on its back. She told me the story but I don't remember it any more. One donkey used to open the gate and wander through our suburban neighborhood. I would call the neighbor and tell her. She told me I could go out and keep it company till she got there. So the other neighbors would laugh at me out petting the donkey and talking to it. I had forgotten that story till I saw this one.

See the cross on the mom's back?  Here's a link from a breeder of minature donkeys that talks about the legend:

HA-HA!!!! I just found that you can click for alternate sounds for the Barn Alarm Monitor. Instead of galloping and whinnying (low and high alerts respectively) you can have rrrrrribbeting and elephant trumpeting!!!

Photo,

Yeah about Tease, she is so big I am thinking C-section. I don't know how that pup is getting out of there.

I love the wee Jesus Donkey's.

Years back at our local animal safari, they had one. I told my husband I wanted to pick him up and hold him. We have the picture of me holding the wee donkey, with my husband standing behind, arms around me helping me hold him. It's one of my favorite pictures of us, holding that donkey.
