It's 7:47 p.m. Ohio time . . STILL no baby!!  I'm just wondering, do they ever induce a horse like they do a human?

Any wagers on if it will happen yet today?!?  I really thought last night when she kept whinnying that the time was getting closer - I remember Patches doing that too.

Someone needs to go in the stall and walk her around - getting things moving!!   ;)

Come on Star . . . . I'm losing sleep trying to keep tabs on you!!  LOL

I work at an equine hospital - I don't think they ever induce like they do with humans, unless it is a still-born :-(  We get a lot of mares this time of year that are "overcooked" and we keep them on foal watch to make sure there are no complications. Once it gets past a certain time the foal is bigger and delivery is more difficult. A problem delivery is called a dystocia, and sometimes requires surgical intervention or even c-section. I don't think Star is to that point yet.

Can't wait to see her have her baby!!

9:15 PM - getting her tail wrapped now.

Could be any time now. C'mon, Mommy.

I think they camera has stopped. It is frozen..no breathing movements from Star, no tail movement..nothing. Wonder why it froze??
OKAY...:) I refreshed it...

CAT1962

At work, so I can't keep the cam up. Did she have the baby?? Stall door is open...

Bucky

Nope, still no baby.  Here's what the site said 30 minutes ago:  "Star is out in the pasture and I left the stall open so you can see patches and her filly as they come in and out "

Maybe, while Star is outside, Patches can give her a few birthing tips.   :D

Boy, these birthing days go on, and on, and on . . . . Tease hasn't had her foal yet either (I don't think - at least nothing has been said).  Busy, busy time at Baxters Painted Pasture.

Come on Star . . . TODAY IS THE DAY!!  Get 'er done!

CAT1962

I can see Patches and baby, too. I thought that was who it was...so sweet! ;D

Ohmygosh, Patches is in the stall with filly nursing.  How precious.

Bucky

It's 6:07 p.m. Ohio time and the barn door is closed and Star is back in the stall . . . . eating!   ;)

The "little one" of Patches is so cute.  Wonder if she has a name yet?

Come on Star . . . enough already . . . have that baby . . . . we're waiting!!

Ok, it's 9:13 your time. Is that you in the stall with Star? What were you doing? Praying she delivers easy...seems to be awhile since you said foaling at any time...precious.

AWWW! How sweet is the scene in there now! Waiting for baby.....:'-)

Bucky

It's now 9:33 p.m. and the site says:  "Star looks really close really hoping for a foal tonite "

WE ARE TOO!!!   ;D   ;D

Star wanted to be petted too, since the cat was being petted.  Equal time.  LOL

Well, it's almost 9:30 here and I have to go to bed..darn! I'll probably miss another birth! *whining*

I read that Mares foal in the night due to not being able to be seen by predators...must be the instinctive thing for them all. OH< well..happy foaling! My guess is 10:36 PM...;)
