 :)Hi,
My name is Alice and I have Sjogren's Syndrome.  I was diagnosed after a biopsy by an ENT/Surgeon.  I have two inflamed salivary glands, IBS, joint pain, dry mouth and eyes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, sinus, and insomnia.  I am on 400mg of hydroxychloroquine daily, and it seems to help immensely.  I have had no flare ups of the RA, but still have the dryness problem.  I use Systane for the eyes, and Sinus Relief and Nasonex for the sinus.  For the mouth dryness, I use sugarless gum, drink water, and suck on sugarless candy.

I hope these dumb inflamed salivary glands go down.

It's nice meeting you.   Best wishes in dealing with Sjogren's.  This site can be a helpful resource when you need info or a listening ear.   I'm glad you found us.

I hope your salivary glands get back to normal soon.  Some people find it helps to massage them.
Take care,

Hi Alice  :)

Welcome to Sjogren's world.  :)

Some people find that warm compresses and gentle massage help when the glands swell.

I hope you find the site useful. It's certainly a friendly and supportive forum.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Welcome to Sjogrens World Alice.

Hi Alice - welcome.

It sounds like you are using all of the same products many of us here use too.  There is such a wide array of OTC products - it ends up being a personal preference to which works best for each of us.

If there is a specific topic/subject you are interested in knowing more about, if you put those words in the search box to the top left of this page - it will take you to previous threads about that topic/subject.  If you can't find what you're looking for, by all means, start your own thread.

I hope the pain from your inflamed glands goes away quickly.  I hear many members talk of this too and agree with the others that recommend warm compresses.

I hope you find this site helpful to you on your Sjogren's journey.
