Well, here I go with another symptom. I have had this itchy rash behind my knees for about a week now. What gives??
Does anyone else experience this and does it go along with Sjogrens or RA?? Help!

Labs and chest xray tomorrow. Wish me luck. I certainly need it.
Love you all, harlin

Sha

Harlin, I have had the rash behind the knees quite a while ago. I had it several times. It was not the worse rash I ever had but it was irritating to say the least. Seems like I used some cortisone cream that I had and took some benedryl.

I used to get the rash on the top of my feet and on the sides plus the burning on the sides. It was heck at night putting my feet on the sheets. Hope it goes away soon. Irish ;D

Sjogrens = strange rashes.

I can't wear clothing that wrinkles now.  If a wrinkle touches my skin I'll get deep 'cut looking' lines and it will heat up and get red.  This will last for hours.  That goes for socks too.  I avoid socks now.  Even bedsheets that wrinkle and I sleep on them.  hours and hours of deep cut like lines with heat and rash.

Same goes for skin on skin contact.  If I rest my hand on my leg, then within minutes it'll turn red and rash up some.  It's better with the plaquinel ... but it's still there.

I don't have a lot of answers, but have had a rash for 3 years now...that is right..3 years!  It is the most annoying, itchy rash. It comes and goes in severity.  It tends to get worse around my cycle which is also often a time that I feel worse too.  I have been to 5 doctors about it.  I have been told many things, been treated with anitbiotics and cortisone creams (which help tone down the itch a little).  It never goes away and though I've been told many times I have to "leave it alone", even so...it doesn't go away and the itch is unbearable.  During the worse...it itches deep. Thankfully it isn't  on my face and is well hidden for most of the year.  I hope for it's end some day.

good luck with the rash and appointment.  I am with you!

yes i used to get them on my arms or abdomen.. now my upper back has a slight rash... i was told by my
rheumy is part of sjogrens...

valene2009

i also get "sores" that do not heal for a very very long time... One will pop up and will eventually scab-takes forever and then it takes
about 6 months to go away... again i had 2 doctors -both my rheumy and dermatologist tell me it is part of sjogrens... i have tried RX ointment but it didnt seem to help so much... they still take forever to go away... as far as my rash i cannot reach my upper back to put anything on it. let us know what ur doc says

No offense to anyone, but we cant chalk up everything to SS, its easy for them to just say to us,, well its part or could be part of SS, when they really dont know what it is,

Could it be a rash from sitting, its pretty easy to get a rash like that,, I get one on my chest and I think its from my shirt rubbing against it, it itches, gets red,, but I try not to mess with it,, try some of that cortisone cream,, better then eating steroids,,
