FREE Decorations via Mother Nature

Hope you that are experiencing Fall right now get outside and pick up some of the FREE decorations Mother Nature has provided for your home.

Yesterday, I was out walking around our property and picked up:

*  Acorns - some for decorations, some for the squirrels this winter.

*  Leaves - I still have all mine from last years 30-day Commitment - but, I wanted some new ones too.

*  Tree branches w/berries.

*  Stems - I'm not sure what these are from, but they look "fall-ish".   

Enjoy Fall - before we know it, you-know-what will be here!

I do like putting Autumnal looking stuff around my house for this season when I have the energy to do so.  I adore Fall.  My daughter's birthday is also on Halloween so we have a lot of little decor stuff for that to make her feel special. Summer has been so remarkably dry here, the little splashes of fall color are a beautiful change from the straw yellow of my yard

I like Autumn too - its just not traditional here to decorate for it. Halloween is getting more and more commercial every year. It used to be low key here too. I s'pose films have changed everything.

I just use pumpkins (real or my fake ones), acorns, leaves . . things like that.

The one artificial pumpkin I have has a face cut out and lights up - when Halloween is over, I just turn it around and use the plain pumpkin side for November and Thanksgiving.

I like the reds, oranges and yellows of Fall.  The turning of the leaves goes by much too quickly - I wish that it lasted longer.

I love fall...its absolutely without a doubt my favorite season! Beautiful colors!

I park under a tree and I swear that the squirrels see me coming every day!  They wait until the car is in just the right place and kapow, they start throwing the acorns at it!   Seriously though, they are a bit rambunctious during the early day light hours, and the paint job is taking a bit of a hit.  And don't get me started on those birds!
