Hello fellow sjoggies 

Back on August 30th, I had a post "So not fair . . . " about my can of vanilla frosting and saltine crackers that I wanted sooooo badly, but put back on the shelf.

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllll . . . . today, when I opened the pantry it was

screaming my name and in order to shut it up, I opened it and ate some of it!!         Yum!  This frosting was whipped and for a canned frosting, was very good. Licking lips . . .    Spread it on some saltine crackers . . . . ahhhhhh.  In fact, licking it right off my finger was pretty good too!   

In order to make this legitimate as I was eating this frosting w/saltine cracker I was celebrating:

*  A former childhood neighbors birthday is today!  Happy Birthday Griffin!
*  The sun is shining.
*  I finally got the kitchen floor mopped that I have been putting off for ever.
*  I didn't get a bill in the mail today!   
* I've enjoyed a quiet day at home today.

So, I finally got that bad boy can of frosting out and opened.  I know - I'm bad.     Anybody want any frosting on a saltine?  You know you do!!  hehe

I won't tell, if you don't tell! Shhhhhh, it will be our little secret.

It has rained a gentle rain all day here in the hills. Thanks for letting us have a 'gift' of rain. Hear rumbles of thunder, more is due throughout the night!  We need rain badly!!!

I LOVE frosting in saltine crackers!  There is nothing like that mix of sweet and salt.

Hmm...I've never even thought about an icing/saline combination.  I might have to try that someday.

I still have some left if you want to try it.  I turned the can around in the refrigerator and have it up on a high shelf - I don't EVEN think the boys know it's there.  Believe me, if our son knew it was open - he'd be into it!!  (Not a chip off the old block, is he?  )

Hi all....when I saw the subject I thought well I'll go see what its all about lol.  NOt sosure I shoudl have come in here
cuz I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee chocolate frosting and crackers yummmmmmmmmm wish I had some lolol.  I don't have any
right now tho   dang it.  Now I want some and its midnite lol)  I'd be in trouble too cuz i'm diabetic but what is two mouth fulls???   

I know, i'm going to bed so I don't eat frosty but then I don't hav any.  no choc here .....anybody got some?  I'd even try the vanilla if thats all you have )))))))))

Linda49er - welcome.  Mmmmmm, frosting on saltine crackers is soooooo good.  Sorry, I don't have any frosting in the house either (at the moment  ).

The frosting was expiring . . . I HAD to eat  it - couldn't waste it!!  I'm quite proud of the fact it was bought in Feb/March and lasted until Sept/Oct.   

Hmmm, do they make a sugar-free frosting?  Although, sugar is what makes it soooo good.  Sorry Linda you're not suppose to be eating it - neither is my husband.  So, that's another reason I HAD to eat it - so hubby wouldn't be tempted by it with his diabetes.   Some times you just have to make sacrifices.   hehehe

We get in trouble with chocolate too . . there was another thread about that recently.   

Linda - you'll find all kinds of topics here on the forum - from talking about Sjogren's (duh . . what a great idea!), to talking (griping) about the weather, garage sale finds, recipes, pets, dating, jokes / stories to make us smile, little group adventures, births, deaths ( ), helpful tips . . . lots and lots of things.  I hope you find the forum helpful to you on your Sjogren's journey.  One things for sure . . . . we "get it"!
