and my Dad is finally resting in peace.  He was diagnosed with lung cancer last December.  I flew to Idaho to say my goodbyes in August and it pained me to see him suffer so horribly. :'(

I was crossing the Bay Bridge in San Francisco when I got the call, telling me that his suffering was over, which is very fitting.  You see, my Dad always expressed his wish to be cremated and his ashes spread in the Pacific Ocean. That way, he said, every time I thought of him, I could put a flower in any river and it would reach him.

For all of those Hospice workers that lovingly care for the dying--thank you for all that you do.

BonusMom -  My sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your Dad.

Having to say goodbye to our parents is one of the hardest things we have to do.

May your Dad rest in peace with no more pain and suffering.

Hugs,
