subcutaneous lupus? undifferentiated connective tissue disease? anybody else...

My rheumy has told me that I could have either subcutaneous lupus or undifferentiated connective tissue disease; but I have found very little information on them.  Anybody else dealing with this? and if so, what are your symptoms and how was it diagnosed? I have swelling in neck, upper chest, breasts, under arms and  around my back, especially between shoulder blades.  One doctor told me it was just fat---I told him it hurts when pressure is put on it, I don't think fat hurts! It also appears as a bulb- like swelling---like having a small water balloon under my skin. Sound familiar to anyone?

Quilt4fun, You may want to have a lymph massage of your neck and shoulders. I also do not believe that fat should hurt. Ask your DR about lymph system involvement and water retention. Either can be painful.

Thanks. I will ask about lymph system involvement and massage.  My skin doesn't leave a dent when pressed, so I'm guessing its not fluid retention like what My husband has  in his ankles from time to time after his heart surgery.

quilt4fun, I have been dxed with SCLE and I am so frustrated with the little information out there about it.  In a regular lupus book, it's only a paragraph - oh geeze, like that helps!  I don't have that swelling feeling - my issues are mainly with skin rashes.  I hope you can get everything figured out.  Good luck.
