Hi!  Anyone here know what Factor X blood work is?  Mine is high as is my C Reactive Protein, low platelets, low lymphocytes.  I feel very ill right now and I have to wait until the end of July to get into Cleveland Clinic Sjogren's Dr.    It's going to be a long wait but I'm looking forward to getting some help.  I had a biopsy on my forehead and the results said possible "evolving connective tissue disease".  Dr blew that off.  If they would just stop doing that and investigate a little further maybe they would find out what's really been going on with me for yrs and yrs.  Going for a Hida scan tomorrow.

Jack,

factor X is a coagulation test.  The higher the result, the more anticoagluated you are.  Do you know how high it was?  I have antiphospholipid syndrome (clotting disorder) with the sjogren's and have had two strokes as a result.  My factor is about 10, but I'm on heparin injections.

having a high factor X wouldn't not (in it of itself) change the way you feel or make you feel sick.  It only measures the thickness of your blood.  Something else is making you feel bad.  They'll get to the bottom of it soon. Best of luck at Cleveland Clinic.

Hi Jack,

I'm not in the medical field and can't speak of Factor X other than I know it's supposed to be one of the rarest Factor disorders.

Good luck and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you start to feel better soon, and good luck with the scan!

Take care of yourself, and don't forget to keep us updated, okay?
