Having the last word and staying cross; putting off people to visit and places to see; having a secret list of things to dread that wakes us in the night; wearing shoes that don't fit!

Anyone got anything to add?  Sometimes I need reminding that there are a lot of good things around to enjoy.  Stay warm everyone and enjoy the weekend XX Ailsa

It's cold outside here, baby... and, BLESSED are we that our power stayed on through the wind storm! Many of VA neighbors and few here are still out of power and the temp. is 23 w/wind chill of 3, though, BLESSED with no snow here in foothills of Smoky Mts. or even in higher elevations.

:) Shelters are open for those that need lodging...BLESSED ARE THOSE THAT HAVE A NEED AND BLESSED ARE THOSE THAT GIVE BACK!!!!

Life is too short to live a life of regrets. So be careful the choices you make, especially how you treat others!

Life is too short for low esteem, so stop comparing yourself to others

Life is too short for constant bad hair days, so get it together, buy yourself a wig

Life is too short for frowns, so turn that thing around and show your purely crowns

Life is too short for bad feet, so get those dogs together so that you can leap and race with horses.

Life is too short for lies, so stop and think before all your replies.

Life is too short to stay locked in one place, buy yourself a ticket to some other place!

Life is too short to only lay around, so on your good days paint the town!

LIFE IS TOO SHORT!

Bernice

Joy,

I'm told it's quite cold this side of TN. too!! My Husband is layering, my sister came by with a wool winter coat on. I think this is what is making many sick, the sudden changes in the weather, here we never know how to dress, some days all you need is short sleeves or sweater, then others jackets, now a winter coat! I have not had on my winter coat yet because of my cold, I've been in the last two days. It can be somewhat embarrassing sometimes when you show up somewhere in a long sleeve winter sweater and only need a short sleeve blouse. People start fanning cause looking at you makes them hot! So I keep sweaters and jackets in my car just in case.

I love that we don't have many cold days, but when it does get cold we are a funny lot, it's like the world is about to end. We call and let each other know it's to turn cold outside toight or tomorrow so make sure you have your coat and don't forget to let your water faucets drip. Most try not to leave home on these days and forget about it on cold nights, we ain't going now where if we don't have to! You would think we would be used to it by now, but if you only get maybe twenty days or less of very cold days per year, it's a shock to your system!
I dread having to go out there tomorrow!

Life's too short to let Sjogren's get you down.
Life's too short to worry about how you will be in five years time.
Life's to short to kiss my grandchildren too much.
Life's too short to hold a grudge.
Life's too short to get ALL the housework done.

With you on the housework, Kathy  ;D

(But my horse's stables are always immaculate!)   xx

Love this thread!!

And Katy's right about the housework.

My interior mental discussions tend to sound like EEore sp? (the donkey from Winnie the Pooh stories) talking so you can imagine I need this cheerful nudge!

Life's just too darn short, period!!  Thanks for reminding me of my blessings and to be grateful!

Harrigan, you mean the world to me!  Life is too short not to tell you that!

Its Eeyore - my sisters favorite disney character.   It fits since her favorite number is thirteen.

My favorite character is Figment  (as in Figment of your imagination).

Just because I am 50, doesn't mean I am too old to enjoy Disney things....   after all, Life is too short not to enjoy them!

Good thread....

Here are some of my favorite sayings about enjoying life all we can and while we can!!

*Be silly. Be honest. Be kind. Ralph Waldo Emerson

*Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in a pretty and well preserved body; but ratherto       skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow ---- What a ride!!!"

*We do not stop playing because we grow old;
We grow old because we stop playing .

* Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching.

*"Life may not be the party we hoped for...  but while we are here we might as well dance!"

*Life is short!  Break the rules!  Forgive quickly!  Kiss slowly!
  Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably.
And never regret anything that made you smile

harrigan

Janna - thankyou!!  Smiling hugely now  ;D

Lynnmarie - it's a long while since I danced like no-one is watching, but now you've reminded me ... watch this space!!

Another one struck me today. Life's too short for not buying flowers for your mum.  My mum is 84, has had  a stroke and is in a wheelchair after being very independent all her life.  I hope I am as accepting if I need to be.  Treasure your parents if you still have them.  Thankyou my Sjogrens family for showing me what is important in life - I forget so easily.  XX Ailsa

Like this thread .....

Life's too short ....

for not enjoying hot chocolate on cold winters days
for not having time out to do the things that make you feel better
for not telling loved ones that's what they are - your loved ones
for not accepting and loving yourself just the way you are
for chopping onions - buy dried ones
for ironing your knickers - my Mum still does!
for hoovering up pine needles off your Christmas tree - there'll be more again tomorrow

Oooh I could go on !
