The medical procedure that left me paralysed from the waste down kind of shut things off. While my legs now function better, there are some things that do not work properly.

I use estrogen cream.  No pain, but then I also use a natural product for dry eye that modulates immune system instead of supressing it.  Perhaps it also helps to reduce pain.  My overall disease condition has improved.  I now take prednisone only occassionaly. 

I try to go natural therapy as much as possible.  After all, mother nature took millions of years to figure out how plants can develop its own defense mechanisms.  In a balanced manner.

Those T cells that attacks mucus membranes tend to destroy normal cell function.  Steriods suppress everything plus sides effects.  For those of us who still have some healthy cells left - preserving it sounds like a reasonable goal.

Joe?  Is that waste down meaning your bowels or waist down?

Navel---waist down. For bowels to work, or fluid to flow, I have to make an adjustment in my low back. I have to make a counter adjustment to stop the flow. I have not stood up to go for over 25 years. I can not make the adjustments while I am standing up.
