Hello to all the fine folks here,

It's been quite a while since my last post. Life takes it's turns in many ways. Some have led to illness and death, and others to renewal of life. Ahhh, life...I wax poetic and philosophical here...am too serious for my own good.

Just want to know if many of you get much relief from any of the meds once a flare begins? As with other chronic illnesses, I almost believe the meds take the edge off plain and simple. Which is a good thing, my goodness. Having said that...anyone get full relief with the meds? I am into my fifth round of steroids since Jan. I guess that isn't too bad, considering.

What's your take?

Hi Robin,
I bet you do have a cold July.  My son was stationed in Marquette for 6 yrs and I don't think it ever got above 75 degrees.  He moved his mobile home there in May and they had to get a plow to clear the snow off the pad before they could set it in. :D
All 3 ft. of it.  :D

I think my meds take the edge off most of the time.  I have a great rheumy that gives me limitations and lets me increase them to a certain amount when the pain is intense or on good days, reduce them.  I also have a prescription for a steriod that I am to take for 5 days when I feel a flare building up.  This really helps immensely.

I hope you can get yours under control and have some great days, both personally and weather wise. ;D

Hugs, Pooh

Thanks for the warm welcome and a bit about your experiences. One thing I have noted, my itchy skin has come back now that I'm off the Prednisone...go figure. I'm going to post a question about just that...itchies!!!
