1)  If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic.  Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat and presto, the blockage will be almost instantly removed.

2)  Clumsy?  Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.

3)  For high blood pressure sufferers:  simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins.  Remember to use an egg timer.

4)  A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

5)  If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives.  Then you will be afraid to cough.

6)  Have a bad toothache?  Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget all about the toothache.

7)  Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are:
In life, you only need two tools - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move but should, use the WD-40.
It it should not move and does, use the duct tape.

8.  Remember:  Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

9)  Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.

Sidenote:  there were 10 of these simple home remedies.  I omitted one of them on purpose.  Although, it's so cute, I'm going to add it here.  (Just didn't want to give fuel to the guy members).

10)  You can avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat just by using the sink.

(These are not my originals, I have a file full of things that have been sent to me thru the years.  Hope it has put a smile on your face.   ;D)

Good one Bucky....thanks for the laughs!

I like number 8    "Remember:  Everyone seems normal until you get to know them."  How true is this??  :D

Chickpea

Bucky - these are great!  Like Lynn I think no. 8 encapsulates the truth about the entire population of this beautiful world.  Including all of us!

Take care - Chickpea

Bucky:

The two items in no. 7 could be applied to the issue at no. 5.

Otherwise, good list.

Oooh Al - WD 40as a laxative?!  Life is certainly lived on the wild side in your part of the world.  I don't think I want to know what you use duct tape for ...

Oh the ideas that came to my mind about the WD 40 Chickpea, nevermind, that would get me kicked off of the board, but it was fun while thinking it though!

::) ::) Hi Bucky, You just made my week!!!! As outburst of laughter from emotions just made a couple tears roll from my right eye... Hadn't happened since last month when our 3-year old Atlanta reared grandchild was led to believe you stomped those big round piles in the pasture field by one of his older cousins accustomed to farmlife in 'these here hills'!!!! Guess who got to clean him up??? You guessed correctly...Mamaw!!!!! And, I laughed while he cried and finally a great big hug and kisses made it all right and we went to chastise the other three older ones for their mischief which he enjoyed the last laugh as they spent 10 minutes in 'time out' sitting on the concrete bench while he had the nearby sandbox all to himself......................
