A friend of mine passed away yesterday after being seriously ill for a many years.  She had SJS along with  other autoimmune problems that was complicated by all the medicines she was taking.  I have known this wonderful women for years.  My son, who is 29, started kindergarten with her son.  We shared many wonderful moments of laughter as they went through school together.  In the past decade we have shared our problems and worries.  We often laughed and traded tricks on how to get house work done the "easy" way.  In later years I just tried to listen and be there when her condition became worse.  I think she needed that the most.  I will miss her greatly and now hope she is at peace and free of pain.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your dear friend and kindred spirit.

It's such a blessing to have someone who truly understands, but at the same time it must be scary for you when you know her issues were autoimmune.

I'm sure she found having you there and listening to be a great comfort and blessing.
