Hi Jules

What a week you've had!  Your husband is very lucky that you didn't listen to the doctors and insisted that someone took his pain seriously.  What a frightening time for you both.  The combination of stress and exhaustion can often herald a flare for SjS people so do take extra care of yourself.

Everything you've said about your health makes me want to say be very cautious about dental surgery.  Then I read that you also have a heart murmur that necessitates antibiotic cover for dentistry.  I have a couple of murmurs due to two heart valves being damaged by childhood Rheumatic Fever.  I also have to have antibiotics for the dentist - so I've also had the lectures from dentists that I'm sure you've had!  Like you I'm also on an immunosuppressant so that's another reason to take extra care.

There isn't a perfect solution, is there?!  But it's good to hear that you have a rheumy you trust - he sounds like a 'keeper' as we say here!

Take care - Chickpea

Jules, So sorry to hear about your hubby. It is good that you pushed for him to be seen when he was so sick. The docs just don't listen to us very well do they!!! I will send up some prayers for his recovery. I bet he will be totally wiped out from this surgery due to being ill that week before. REally will drag him down.

You two will just have to hunker down in your recliners and rest. Please take care of yourselves and keep us updated. Irish ;D
