Rheumy said I may need a nerve block for pain in hip and lower back.  Anybody had one??  How is it done?  Will it hurt?   :'( I'm a big chicken.  Haha

No shame in being a " big chicken"...we have all been there at one time or another...well I know I have at least....lol!

I have never had a nerve block done for pain, but I'm hoping that someone will come by soon who has to help ease your mind about possibly getting this done.

I have not had it done, but...my friend has. For him they did a local before and it did help him not to feel the pain but I could still see the pain in his body posture.

It worked for him for many years. I was somewhat envious but was not offered this option.

Depends on who is doing it, my wife had several and she didn;t get any relief for more then 2 weeks, but I worked with a guy that had great results.
