Does anyone have their symptoms, meaning brain fog and pain, sudddenly disappear and/or suddenly reappear?  :o

I woke up feeling SO much better obne day a few weeks ago, and had a really good day. I still had arthritis, but the overall fatigue, pain and fog had lifted. In the evening, suddenly, the symptoms reappeared and I felt so bad, I went to bed.

Then last evening, as I was watching some TV, I could feel the fog/fatigue/pain leave! It is amazing. I still have arthritis and shoulder pain, and some breathing difficulties, but this is amazing! I was able to sleep so much better, though  my shoulders still hurt upon movement.

Does this weird symptom behavior happen to anyone else? It makes me think the inflammation has gone for awhile. And if so, how? What int he world causes the inflammation to stop temporarily? I am on no meds yet, exept OTC NSAIDS, which do very little.

Things randomly appear and disappear.. pains come and go all over the place.. weird areas of numbness that come and go.... all very strange.... I am on no medication either unfortunately.

Yes, it is very weird and hard to get used to.  I had neuropathy the first year or so and now it is completely gone.  It is a very weird illness.  I just wish it would go away and stay away. :)  It makes it hard to plan things because you never know how you will feel.

Last Thurs/Fri I had hot flashes at work every 1/2 hr. The thing is they are very rare with me. I've never had a problem with them in the past, ever.    ???  Finally today I only had a couple in the morning so they are subsiding but it is really strange.

I have some mornings when I wake up "owley" but it dissapates in 1/2 hr or so thankfully.
I guess with SJS we all have to get used to these ( surprises ).  :-\

I get the hot flashes all the time! I've never timed them, but I wake up in a sweat every night. I have a fan and a sweater close by and use them as needed! Strange temperature fluctuations!

Hi Crabcakes, my brain fog seems to come and go at will.  Some times I'll wake up and feel pretty good, but the fog will return in an hour or two and it's like it never left.  Other days, it's the same ol', same ol'. ::)

But I'm glad that you had a really good night's sleep!  If you figure if you did anything to help you sleep better, please pass it on! :D

Hi Pisces, ah, the hot flashes!  They're terrible, aren't they?  Mine become more frequent in warm weather, and when I'm exhausted.  Some days I never have one, and others, I'll have a ton of them.  It's awful!

Hopefully they'll stop soon, I don't know you, but I don't know how many more summers of sweating I can take, it's gotten way past ugly.

Hang in there, and I hope y'all feel better soon -

Oh, yes.  Sometimes I'll be unable to breathe well for several days, and then suddenly things are fine.  The same with the arthritis in my hands.
