Hello
I have a question for anyone on this site. I am tiring to get disability from SS. I tried twice by myself and I am going to a lawyer now. I just got a letter from SS today for my lawyer that says we need to get everything in now for my hearing. Did that happen to any one Else and how long did it take to settle. I am so broke right now. I has already called the lawyer last week . I don't want to be a pest. Can any one tell me their experience with SS and how long it took you. and do you really think I will win. I have fibermyalgia, Sjogrens, heart problems toe problems eye problems severe ADHD  and some learning problems. Please let me know.
Thanks so much for all your time.

Theresa,  I am on a mental disability for obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression.  I was approved 11 years ago at age 28 I did it on my own, but you have to have a good doctor who is willing to agree that you cant work thats what did it for me.  It took me about 5 months to be approved and I got a check retro from the time I worked last which was nice.  I am also on Medicare.  And I also get it for my kids until they are 18. If you have a lawyer it should be no problem.  If you have any more questions dont hesitate to ask.   Hugs and Kissess   Jonnell and Jenna

Hi Jonnell and Jenna
Thanks for the quick reply. I feel better about this. Its been about since July 2008, which is a long time for me. I have been out of work for about 6 or 7 years. I hope it doesn't take much longer. I want to be able to help pay for stuff now its my turn again. My husband has been taking good care of me for alot of years. I really wish I could work. The lady at the bank asked me if I worked. I said I stay home and she said oh I wish I could stay at home and not work. We all need to be careful of what we wish for. I used to wish that also, and now I am at home and can't even go outside and plant my flowers any more. The sun does a number on me. Its not worth it.  I used to almost live outside. We sold our home 7years ago , not by choice. and we brought a RV and lived in a camp ground. until it got so cold we brought a house trailer across the street in the same camp ground right on the Potomac river in Va. We gutted the trailer and rebuild the inside and lived there for 3 years. until my first grandson was born than we had to grow up and buy a house. But we had so much fun at the camp ground, we had a boat and lived outside most of the time. on the beach. I walked the beach with my dogs every day and lost 50 pounds. and now I can't stay out in the sun. no fun. We still live about 7 miles from the beach my daughters live at the beach. Sjogrens has really taken alot from me. and its so hard to explain this new thing. I know I have had health problems all my life but now its worse. So I hope this case gets approved. I am so sorry your little one has it. I will keep you and her in my prayers. Things do work out. I do know, so I don't know why I stressed.
Thanks Theresa

You live in VA I live in South Jersey, would love to move down south. Jennas rhumy is in Deleware at Dupont Hospital.  Its really hard when you get used to a way of life and have to change it.  Thats why Im glad if Jenna had to get it she got it young,  she doesnt know any different.  She has real problems with the heat and sun.  It makes her very sick and its hard when you are 4 to understand why you cant keep up with everyone your age.  They started her on plaquinil about 2 weeks ago, im hoping maybe we can have a easier summer.  We live about 30 min from the ocean, but she can only go for a little while.  Thank goodness for swimming pools its the only way to keep her cool.  You should be hearing something soon, That will be a nice check when they give you your back pay.  You will feel a lot better when it is all over.   Hugs and Kissess  Jonnell and Jenna
