Poochie

No Lynnmarie, you are not "crazy" just loving and caring.  If it comforts you to have them with you, then by all means do it.

I have a friend who made a large "rock" garden, planted flowers and a couple small trees in it.  There she buried the ashes of each of her dogs when they passed on.  She put a small bench in this year with an arbor.  She likes to sit out there and remember.

So NO you are crazy.  We grow to love our pets like our children.  When they go, it leaves a big hole in our heart.  If I didn't have a pup waiting in the "wings" when my oldest is ready to pass, I don't think I could take it.

When our "Peanut" started to show signs of leaving us, we got PoohBear.  Not only did it perk up Peanut, but she taught PoohBear the ropes.  Unfortunately, I guess, PoohBear is just as smart as Peanut was, maybe more so. :D  I can't decide who owns who at this stage. ;D

You just keep those "kids" around as long as you need them.

Hugs, Pooh
