How dry is your mouth, eye and skin? curious

Hi,
how dry is your eye?
moderate or severe? Is it aways red, or just a tiny bit red? Do you get a lot of burning sensation, or just dryness?

Or does the dryness get more severe while you sleep?
I was waking up in the middle of the night, feeling the whole eyeball dry and had to rush to put some drops. The weirdest sensation I say!
In the morning is when I feel the dryness is worse, during the day is not that bad.

But now with the silicon thing in the tear duct, at least I'm not waking up in the middle of the night with sore eyeballs.

How dry is your mouth? It is a bit dry ,not completely, you still got saliva etc?

I have some saliva running, but I noticed that..Sometimes  when I eat popocorn or corn, something get stuck on the back of
the throat...and I need to to drink water to help the food go down.

Another weird happens when I drink milk...afterwords, the tongue and  mouth feels "chalky"...
and my lips have been dry for months..My nose is usually dry..

So do you guys have that? any weird sensations?

I have very dry eyes.  I have plugs, double in one eye, am on Restasis and use drops and gels.  With all these treatments, I manage much better.  With that said, they still bother me every day.  Just not miserable.

I have a very dry mouth.  It was so dry that I had sores, yeast around the lips, peeling lips and could not swallow food.  I've been on Evoxac for almost two years and it has  helped my dryness a lot.  Also, I seem to have more function in my saliva glands the last year.  The first year I was on Evoxac, I didn't have as much saliva as I do now.  Even my dental hygienist and dentist commented during my check up yesterday that I have more saliva.  I was so happy to hear this, you'd thought I inherited a million bucks.   Who would have thought a few years ago, I get so excited about saliva.

Very dry nasal passages until the Evoxac.  I think the Evoxac has helped my nose to feel the most normal of all things it helps.

Fortunately, my skin is not too bad.

At first, when I didn't realize I actually had this disease, my eyes and mouth weren't that bad. But over the last year, they have become much worse. I am much like OhioLady. The only weird is that my eyelids seem to hurt more than my eyeballs and I keep a constant headach because my eyes hurt.

My eyes sting, itch and sometimes feel gritty but aren't red and I still have some moisture. I don't seem to be able to actually cry though. I found lacrilube got me through the night well without the sticky eyeball sensation and I've found that taking more than the recommended dose of fish oil has helped my eyes too. I'm using drops less often than I was.

When I wake up in the morning I usually have to prise my tongue off the roof of my mouth with one finger. It is VERY dry when I wake up. I've always had dry lips, prone to cracking. During the day saliva still flows but certainly less than there used to be and I can't eat bread, for instance, without liquid.

I've kind of got used to the eyes and the mouth. I mean - it would be lovely not to have itchy eyes but I've had 'em about 10 years now.

It's the joint pain, neck pain, back pain and the aching that really bug me.
