 Update on my skin problem. I went to the dermatologist today and told her I couldn't take it anymore. I can't wear any of my clothes and even my soft, snuggly robe drives me nuts. I described what I was feeling. She said I probably have hives and prescribed Atarax and Allegra. I told her the Neurontin wasn't working and that I don't think this is directly a neuro issue because my skin gets red and I can write the word HIVES on it. She said yes, probably hives, but might be skin allergy. So here I am with more drugs to take. Has anyone ever taken Atarax. I haven't taken allergy medicine in some time because of the dryness. Has anyone else experienced this?

  Hi Wynter , Glad you now  have a diagnosis at least, sorry that it seems to be hives.
        My Grandaughter has been coming out in Hives for some months now,    even had to go to A&E as her mouth swelled , and she coulden't breathe.
   Not wanting to scare you dear, just to alert you.  I am not sure what her script is, but it seems to be keeping it down if not curing it...  .

     You maybe should go to the Hives page on here , where there is probably more info for you...
