I lost half of my PERS retirement in my divorce in 2003..my ex husband didn't have a retirement so he thought he'd take half of mine...
I work for the state so we've had our salary cut as CA's state budget is a mess !! I've been trying to maintain the house...it's been tough..I never expected SJS, but I have been surviving...

Thank you all, dear friends, for posting and telling us about the struggles you're encountering in these difficult times.

If we're not careful we'll take our cue from the news stories which are just about corporations - as Epson says - and not about people. And we know here in SjS World that it's people that matter.

I know it's an old film, and for some people it's just a Christmas film, but now might be the time to watch 'It's a Wonderful Life' again. It's a great way to be reminded that although there are too many Mr Potters around, there are also more George Baileys than we realise.
