Hi all

Just want to say a quick hi and sorry i havent been around to help. I have had a pretty full on couple of weeks with concerns about family and friends in the bushfires in Victoria (im from australia if you dont know me yet). Last week i found my sister who i havent had much contact with since i was 5. it has been pretty emotional as i am learning a lot of things about my family i never know (yes the skeletons are definately falling over each other to get out of the closet)

I hae also been haing a lot of problem with pain that im sure you can all relate to and to top it off i found out 2 days ago that my ex brothe in law was seriously hurt on his way to work clearning the trees from the busfires in Victoria

So my alreay frazzled head has been on overload for a few weeks and it kinda went AWOL. However i think its beginning to absorb everything and am beginning to think straight again (did  say that???????)

Im perusig the boards tonight and getting in touch with things . I hope to offer my advice charm wit and wisdom to any poor unsuspecting victim...oooopss i mean to all the lovely people here that i could possibly assist.

I am seeing my sister tomorrow for the first time in 15 years so it will be interesting.

I hope you areall well in your individual scopes of wellness

Pud, we miss you when your gone. But we understand.

One of my repeated mantras, "All families are disfunctional". :)

I am excited for you to meet your sister, after 15 years.

I pray Australia is recovering and I am sure you are a positive force in contributing.

Nice to hear from you, Pud. Sorry you've had so much going on. The fires down in Australia are really scary - you've had such a dry spell in recent years that fire has to be the worst nightmare for your country.

(((((((((((((Pud))))))))))) Please take good care of yourself...you have so much going on for goodness sake! Try to get yourself back into the swing of things slowly...we are here if you need us!

I hope the visit with your sister is a good one!

What an emotional overload, Pud!  Your presence has been missed on the forum, but is truly understandable with everything that's going on in your life.

Best wishes for a happy reunion with your sister.  I "met" my little sister when I was 21 and she about 17.  She was just a baby when my father divorced her mother and I was just 4 years old.  She was a teen and I already a wife and mother hwen we "met", so we didn't have much in common.  I did locate her again recently and am going to write her.  If nothing else, I'll share the medical information with her so she at least has a bit of history.

Let us know how it goes today.

pudmott

Thanks bonus mom

the twist here is im 36 and she will be 60 in May. She had her first daughter literally a month before i i was born. We are very different but joined in the fact that we both want to reconnect with family.

thanks for all your understanding its great

Hey there Pud,

The boards were awful quiet - now I know why.  Nobody bugging me!   ;D

I hope things will settle down for you and be less hectic.

Let's see . . since you are ahead of us time wise . . . that means that TODAY is the day you will be meeting up with your sister.   :D  I hope you will have a happy reunion and can rekindle a friendship with family.

Take care,
Bucky

Pud, Wondered where you were at, but thought you were busy working. Sorry to hear about all the "stuff" going on in your life. Good that you will be reunited with your sister. Always good to have relation around. Also, those fires have been so terrible for your country. Such devastation. I always say that floods and fires are much worse than tornados. All 3 are bad, but I would rather clean up after a tornado than a germ infested flood or sooty fire.

Hope that life settles down for you some. Get some rest also. IRish ;D
