Mark, I am so very sorry to hear the news of your job loss especially with Chele's health.  I will be praying that things work out for your family. 

Just an FYI.  If things get difficult there is such a thing as a dire needs request to expedite getting your hearing scheduled sooner.  I do think that this is a last resort - like the potential of a loss of your house, etc., but I just wanted to bring this to your attention so that you can potentially discuss this option if needed with your lawyer.  I pray that you at least get a resolution soon on this disability stuff.

Mark, I just read in the paper that their is now the ability for people who have lost jobs to collect Cobra and have 64% of the monthly charges paid by the government for 9 months. I am thinking that this might have been attached to the new stimulus bill. Also, the article said that one can go back some weeks or so to get on the program if it happens that one has been laid off prior to the bill being passed. Worth your while to check into this. Hope you can find this on one of this gov. sites. Irish

Thanks Irish! I received 90 days severance pay and insurance. I will check out what you wrote about the 64% of Cobra being paid. That will help! Hope you have a great weekend!

I can't help but mention how I have been so impressed with your devotion to one another as husband and wife. God Bless you both, may you feel an extreme presence of peace as God delivers a new road.

My husband is a pastor, and I understand disappointments in people you love and trust. In church and out of church.
