Sandra dear, I will keep you and your Mom in my prayers.

I must second the thoughts of those who said "you are stronger than you think".

Have you contacted any of your city agencies to see if there is any assistance from them.  Or the Cancer Society, I'm sure they could tell you where to go to find the outside support you need.  We have Hospice here Pennsylvania.

Hugs and God Bless,

Well i did it...again...it went well. Even after the terrible time she had in Dec and Jan (pneumonia) her oncologists say that if all goes right with some prelim test heart and CT she was told that if they were ok now would be a good time to try the sutenib oral chemo treatments. She is so happy and proud of herself I can't tell you,she just beams, the only one more so would be me I suspect. I did it! ;D So a busy week or two as the tests are to be done asap and we have to drive about an hour. I don't care anything that makes her smile that big I'll go everyday. Mom and I did talk about finding some additional drivers and she agreed. Just for the routine stuff, I'll always be there for the hard visits. I beleive I will call the Cancer Society to see what's available. Thanks so very much, Sandra

Hi Sandra

It's wonderful to hear that there are smiles in your life again.  You both deserve to be happy and proud of yourselves, as you say.

Getting additional drivers is such a good idea, and means that you can save your energy for the more stressful visits when your presence is necessary.  I'm so relieved that you're getting some support in your role as carer.
