gas from plaquenil

Does anybody else have problems with excessive gas on the plaquenil?  Ever since I started taking I have had really bad gas.  Not really painful but extremely annoying and embarrassing.  Does anybody have any suggestions?

Are you taking it with food of any kind?  I take mine with yogurt or right before I eat breakfast and dinner. 

Also be sure to mention this to your doctor when you go to your next appointment.

yes i do take it with food but still gives me bad gas

Mine did for about the first 2 1/2 weeks then it settled down and I have no issues any longer.

I have been on it for nearly 8 months and still have probs with it. But it does seem to help so I have no real choice.

OMG.. well I was on plaquenil for three yrs and came off of it for the last month and half and I had noticed that lately I don't seem to have gas ... I never made the connection... but for sure it causes loud noisey gas... bad time
