I am waiting to be diagnosed.. but have had swollen salivary glands for over a month.... very sore and painful... the last two weeks have bought on dry eyes and mouth and fatigue......

Since I massaged my salivary glands (thanks to your tips and advice) and lots of gunk came out... I have felt better... less dry eyes and mouth and less fatigued..

Is this coincidence? Does this mean I dont have SJS?   Am I just relieving the symptoms a bit with the build up of stuff in my glands?  Will it come back and the symptoms get worse again?

Sorry for all the questions, but apart from the swollen salivary glands I dont appear to be too bad today..  I know I have to wait for the blood test results... but just wanted your input on it...  I am chewing lots of sugar free gum as well now... so would this help too?

Well....my first main symptom was the swollen glands......and come to find out several years later I had sjs. Does this mean you have it?  Sounds like it, but the tests will hopefully tell you a better answer.  Yes it can come and go, but if you start to get that achey feeling in your jaw and gland area start the massaging and eating sugar free candy/gum right away.
If you do have sjs hopefully the meds you will be put on will help keep the swollen glands under wrap and not be much of an issue.  That is what seemed to happen to me.

I am glad that you are starting to feel better. Take Care!
