Just wanted to give myself a little credit. After moving home for a yr, after my dx, I have successfully moved back into NYC. I have a job, dry eye friendly, and just rented out a new apt. When I was first dx'd I never thought I could be independent again. Although I still have plenty of bad days, was recently considering the fight for disability on account of my severely dry eyes, I am surviving. I even flirted with a boy today. I haven't dated since my dx on account of my severely dry mouth. I thought and still think that why would anyone want me considering all that comes with me. But today I put that all aside and enjoyed a little harmless flirtation. ANywho please feel free to drop a comment or two.

Hi Kim  :)

Well done you! I'm really happy for you and it's lovely to read about things going well for someone! There is definitely life after SjS! It might not be quite the same as it was before - but it's out there!

Take care - Scottie  :)

CONGRATULATIONS Kim!!!  So happy to hear good news for a change.  Good luck with the new job and the new apt.

I hope your parents know how grateful you were for the safe haven when you became ill.  My daughter moved back home after a bad divorce and I am dreading the day she will want to leave.  I love having her home and now that she is back on her feet, I pray she will stay.

Take care and enjoy yourself and good luck with the new job.  Wow! what great news.

Hugs, Pooh

hi Kim

Well done you!  That can't have been easy. I hope you will be very happy in your new home and new job.

We Sjoggies seem to have to keep re-inventing ourselves, don't we. I wish I could re-invent myself as a young, leggy blonde  :)

Speaking of appearances. How do we upload our photos to our profile on this website? I tried and they wanted a website?? Like the myspace weblink example. How does that work??

This has come up a couple of times, and there's a few pretty good sets of instructions at this page: https://sjogrensworld.org/index.php?topic=6794.0

It only deals with photobucket (an on line photo host) hut I think most of them work the same. One thing that's not mentioned (even in the host site) is that once you've linked to a picture, you have to leave it in the host site, or your link will fail.

kim, Good for you gal. Glad to hear that you have your own place, a job and the inclination to do a little flirting. Hope the job is something that you really enjoy. Will be interested to hear where you work and how things are going. Irish ;D
