It's been a long while but I've not forgotten this helpful group.I was on a new med and went down hill slowly. After becoming very depressed my Drs. decided to take me off the med and put me on an antidepressant and that has helped. It was a very scary time. For anyone that doesn't remember me I'm a almost, this mo.55yr. woman with sjogren's, Fibro,Asthma and IBS.Dx 4yrs. ago.One good thing came of being so sick,I lost 40lbs. and now family and DRs. lecture me to eat more!Never in my life have I had this problem.I know some won't believe this but it's not so fun worrying about being underweight either.

Hi Ruby  :)

Welcome back!  I'm sorry to hear you've had a rough time but it's good to know the anti-depressants are kicking in. Our system needs that kind of shake up sometimes.

I've had problems with being underweight and I know it's no fun. That, however, was in the past and I think I preferred being underweight to being overweight, which I am now. I do remember being pretty concerned when I just couldn't pile weight on whatever I tried though.

Oh for a happy medium!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Ruby,

I understand how it is with the insidious depression...it can be relentless and sooooo tiresome!

I too have lost weight, but only enough to be less chubby than I was before.  I hope you can find a good middle place like Scottie said!

Take care and welcome back my dear.

Hi Ruby, Welcome back.  We missed you.  So glad to hear the meds are helping you.  It's good the doctor took the first ones away.  Sometimes the cure is worse than the cause.

Take care and don't let it be so long between visits. ;D

Hugs, Pooh

Hi Ruby...welcome back!

I'm glad to hear that the new meds are working for you....and I hope that continues! I'm also glad that your doctors were on the ball at a time when you needed them to be when the other med was obviously not working as it should and you needed it to be changed!

Continued good luck to you and let us know how you are doing.

Oh thank-you so much for your kind words everyone.Even though I just recovered from a 2wk.long flare I was able to handle it so much differently.Depression distorted my thinking so badly. My weight loss lets me feel better so I hope to maintain a lighter me.I'm trying to come to an acceptance of the illness to know when I need to just give myself permission to do what my body needs to do.Taking one day at a time with whatever I can manage and being thankful either for what I've done or how well I handled not overdoing it.Poor sorry ole me days are allowed too.
