Hi Everyone, I have been dealing with so much, and just didn't have the strength to post.

Need so much to tell everyone what is going on in my health.

Going for a Celiac Biopsy September 4th.  Went back on Gluten 4 weeks ago.  So sick - blood pressure, liver enzymes, cholesterol after being controlled on Gluten free diet, now are so out of control.  Plus I have a bladder infection.  The depression is worse than ever, and all my doctors have gone on holidays.

Many more Lupus signs showing up.  How many of you have to wear a jacket, and long pants, so rashes don't pop up all over their body.  It's bad enough I have a rash from eating gluten (like pimples (no heads) and sore).   The butterfly rash, and the rash on my arms from the Sun, just another sign of my Lupus.

GASTRO, plus dentist diagnosed me with Sjogren's.  Gastro said it's because of the Sjogren's and my liver problems, she believes I have Celiac.

They say it's not unusual to have Lupus, liver problems, and Sjogren's with Celiac.   Other autoimmune diseases I have so far, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Vitiligo, (looking into RA and coming closer to diagnoses of Lupus).

Hugs

Gerri, I'm so sorry you're feeling so miserable. Are you back on gluten to prepare for the Celiac Biopsy?  It seems inhuman to have to prepare for more than a month...are any of your doctors (preferably the one doing the biopsy) available to discuss it with, or are they all on vacation? Maybe you could contact the GI department at the hospital where you are having the biopsy done, and ask how long you absolutely must be on gluten before the test to make it accurate.

There are lightweight UV repellant clothes available if you can find them...much cooler than a jacket. I have some lovely long sleeved, almost gauzy, loose fitting shirts that protect me from UV. I frequently wear long skirts of the same light cotton fabric as well; much cooler than pants, at least for me. White and light colours repel UV better than dark ones, too. I wonder if we can bring parasols back into fashion?

Hi Linda, thanks for sugguestions about clothing.

About my doctors, they are all on holidays.  Yes, I am back on Gluten in preparation for the biopsy.  I was only off Gluten 3 weeks, and MAN I was feeling better.  Two weeks back on gluten and landed in the hospital.  I have nearly a month to go. I will see my family doctor on the 8th, and the GASTRO she gets back from her holidays on the 14th.

Skylar, thanks for the hugs

Hi Gerri,
Welcome back, you have been missed.  So sorry you are feeling so awful.  I hope the time flys for you and you can go back to the way things were before.

Take care and let us know how the biopsy comes out.

Hi Pooh

I am always here, but like I said I just didn't have the strength to post.

I miss everyone here you all are so nice to me.

I am so tired, and want answers.  The answers I am getting are more confirmation of what I already know.   It doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

Adding Celiac, Lupus to Sjogrens and my other health issues, not going to change the labels.  Celiac, may slow down the progress of my health issues, I just have to stay away from Gluten for it.  With my many allergies, my diets, my food is very limited already.  I do feel better though when I am gluten free.

Hope your doing well.  Send me a post when you like to talk.  I always need someone to talk to.  Talking with other helps keep my stress down, and keeps me close to my friends here.

Hugs

I do get what you are saying about being here but being not able to post. Had some days like that this week. I am so sorry for the extraordinary difficulty you are forced to go thru to prep for this test.
LOTS OF HUGS!!!!!!

Gerri,
Here's a hug from me, too.  I hope your test results will point you in the right direction so that you can feel normal again.   Hang in there!

Hi Kathylee and Cheryl

Friday I was back to Urgent care just to get a presciption for my UTI.  Doctor thought most likely the infection would have cleared on it's own by then, but it hadn't and he believe it had gotten worse, so I got my prescription.

The doctor reordered the liver enzyme test, and said if they are any higher he personally was going to put me into hospital.  As it is a holiday, this weekend, I don't expect to hear from him until Tuesday, then my family doctor will be back.  So at least I have to live through a couple more days of this.  Last night I was so sore.  My back just ached, my kidneys, bowels, heck my whole body hurt, and still very much bloated.  I debated calling hospital, but just took another ativan, in hope it would sedate me, so I could get some sleep.

I am still alive and kicking, waddling with this 10 month, I call it gas baby (just the bloatting.)

Hugs
