Dear fellow Sjoggies,

I got a lip biopsy today at the University of Iowa.  I get the results in a couple of weeks.  I'm seronegative and I'm hoping this test turns out positive for me.  As sick as I have been, I still can't believe my blood work is as good as it is!

I know that the lip biopsy is iffy if it is done incorrectly or read incorrectly, and that is why I went to the University.  But I am anxious because so many doctors really know very little about Sjogrens, and even at the University!

I've done all I can do and will definitely let you know my results.  I know lip biopsy is considered the "gold standard" for diagnostic purposes.  My mouth is so dry that it just has to be positive!

My new Rheumatologist is planning on ordering a new DMard for me but she wants the results of this lip biopsy first.  Cross your fingers for me!
