Hi,

I was curious if any of you get these random adrenaline-like rushes out of nowhere.  It sometime happens to me a night when I am in bed and even during the day. It almost feels like fight or flight kicks in and a huge surge happens at once. I am trying to figure out if it is a Sjogrens/immune system thing.  Curious to hear your thoughts.

I have had a couple of these recently, with palpitations.   But I have been very anxious lately so I have put them down to anxiety.  It's hard sometimes to know where these symptoms spring from.   Maybe try some relaxation exercises?
Dry eyes (MGD), nose, mouth, occasional labyrinthitis,  dry skin , mouth ulcers, constant but fluctuating fatigue, IBS.  Blood tests and Schirmers negative,no Sjogrens dx yet.   Omega 3 algal oil, multivitamins, Evolve eye drops, Xailin eye ointment,  moisturiser (Instituto Espanol 10% urea).

I took the liberty of looking at your previous posts and saw a few noting "sleep disturbances"(nightmares, yelling, pounding heart after waking) a few years ago, and some note of different doses of either prednisone or slow release corticosteroid?

Do these fight or flight episodes resemble those episodes at all? And are you still taking any form of corticosteroid? Plaquenil can also cause vivid dreams for some, and those could possibly produce a steroid rush.
