Just wondering what the covid status is around the US. I hardly hear a word about it anymore. A few weeks ago there was a increase in cases I heard of only because someone I knew was hospitalized and later told me that the hospital had filled up with covid cases again. Don't have a clue if the death rate is up in my area or in the whole country. There are so many different opinions on the internet also. Frustrating as heck. Never seems to change. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. meirish

We are fine here in Missouri. We haven't worn masks in a few months unless you go to a medical facility.

SOME are still wearing masks.

Not sure why.

There is a new viarant of Covid which is killing quite a few.  CA has it and I believe some if the Northeast states are showing some problems.
I do not know what exactly to think but they are saying 6 months shots are not lasting last long.  I have no idea how many shots there are but this whole is fire, ready aim.  Might be helpful to figure out what the heck they are fighting and J and J has now said to watch out again for the clotting issues.  Would also be nice to hear what the heck is going on.
It is almost impossible to figure out what the heck is going on.  Masks somewhat went out not because they should, but there are so many fights
over them that companies just gave up.
Everything is changing and so far I have not seen anything good.

MN is low on the amount of covid we have currently. I just read that there are 2 and maybe 3 types of variants now and most are supposed to spread fast but not be terrible deadly. Probably some high risk people are more affected by it. meirish

Pfizer documents just came out. Vaccine is not 95% effective like they originally said. It is 12% effective for 1 week after taking it, then just 2 % effective thereafter. This is coming to light bc they were made to tell it, they wanted to release vaccine results/ side effects in 75 years but were ruled against.

Our whole family is still healthy, including my 91 year old father in law who is high blood pressure, diabetic. Only 2 members of family got shot, one had all boosters and is currently under Drs care d/ t unintentional weight loss, he is a 5'10" man , 45 yrs old and is now 130 lbs, blood count down, lethargic.

I have 2 friends in large hospital, one works in ER. Most people that come in with Covid have been vaccinated. She also said the ones that come in and die with it are vaxx and boosted.

Do you realize by the age of 5 years old a child receives 26 vaccines.......then it snowballs in a few years to boosters, HPV vaccine....hepatitis B vaccine, etc...

We are vaxx crazy folks

Today Florida had 1200 cases. I listen to Dr. McCarey from John Hopkins. What I am hearing is variants are contagious but not deadly.
I took J&J vaccine. I got a fairly mild case of Delta and was pretty sick with Omicron. We won?t be getting any more shots. Not enough safety data available.

Hi  :)

The new variant is a 3rd version of Omicron. It's very infectious but less deadly - especially for those who are vaccinated. Being vaccinated won't stop you from catching it but it is unlikely to kill you.

Take care - Scottie  :)

I am in Northern California and we are ticking up again, but not enough to shut things down or wear masks all the time.  My husband is a massage therapist and needs to be very careful around his clients.  We no longer have to wear masks all the time unless we are in a medical facility.  However, because I am going to have extensive cervical decompression and fusion surgery, we are pretty much staying at home and wear masks every where we go.  I have many clients who are nurses, and they are all vaxxed and boosted.  It is right that the vax and boosters won't prevent you from getting COVID, but it will help.  All my nurse clients have gotten COVID and they faired pretty well.  I have two friends in Pennsylvania and two here in California that refused to get vaxxed and they all died.  My husband had 3 clients who refused to get vaxxed and they died.  Hey, I tested positive, at a prominent hospital in my area, 3 days before my surgery and had to postpone it.  It ended up being a false positive.
