Hi Sharon, google is doxycyclene anti inflammatory and you''ll find lot's of info.You cannot eat dairy products or food that has iron in it for 2 hrs before or after taking doxy. You can also take it with a gastric protector omeprazole,lanzoprazole etc. Don't forget probiotics. Ask your dr. if you can start at a lower dose of 50 mg daily or twice daily ? Good luck.

My feeling is that taking an antibiotic everyday can cause us problems. I would do the Azithromycin 5 days a month and see what happens. It will be interesting to see if your dryness decreases. Let us know how this works for you.

I keep hoping that someone will find that a food will decrease our dryness.....or maybe a junk food. Good luck. Irish

Thanks irish, I also think the Azithromycin would be a better choice.
I'll keep you all posted if I get any positive results with this.

Thanks Jazz, I will see an eye specialist next week who I know prescribes this for MGD
and see if he will write me an RX for it for the SS eye inflammation.
